Upcoming Changes

We’re making changes to certain agreements (listed below) that govern your relationship with PayPal. These changes will take place automatically on the corresponding effective date(s) shown below.

Actions Needed

Please carefully review the notices below and familiarize yourself with the upcoming changes. By continuing to use our services after the changes take effect, you agree to be bound by those changes. Otherwise, no further action is needed from you to accept such changes. However, if you would prefer to decline them, then you will need to close your Braintree account prior to the applicable effective date, as described in the Payment Services Agreement.

Amendments to Braintree's ACH Service Terms

Effective Date: (i) September 29, 2025, if you have ACH Services enabled for your account on the date that this notice was issued, or (ii) the date that ACH Services are enabled for your account; as applicable.

• We are changing Braintree’s ACH Service Terms to add the obligations that apply when you use account validation methods in connection with the ACH Services offered by PayPal. Such obligations apply to the extent that you have access to certain data, systems or technology in connection with account validation (including data protection, data security and Fair Credit Reporting Act related obligations).

Amendments to Braintree Payment Services Agreement

Effective Date: September 29, 2025:

• We have updated the terms applicable to Braintree Merchants who use SAML SSO (Security Assertion Markup Language Single Sign-On) to clarify that multi-factor authentication or a reasonably equivalent control must be used as a requirement of that access, consistent with applicable law and PCI-DSS requirements.
